S.O. Tech Mission Go Bag Review

By far one of our favorite pieces of tactical gear, the S.O. Tech Mission Go Bag by S.O. Tech Tactical is ready to go when you need to go! The proven bag has impeccable credentials and is the official issue to USSOCOM, U.S. Army Special Forces, Navy SEALs, Army Rangers, Air Force AFSOC and Marine Corps MARSOF.

The versatile bag is ready for a variety of missions. It can be loaded down with survival gear or ammo. It can be used as an everyday carry (EDC) bag. It can be used to carry a mini-laptop and school items to the campus. With up to 12 different carry configurations, the go bag can be modified to your mission. (Some unused straps can be removed so they don’t get in the way.)

The S.O. Tech Mission Go Bag has two compartments, a front compartment that can easily handle a pistol or other item, and a larger main compartment with four interior pockets. Though not nearly as big as a backpack, this bag can hold a lot of gear. In fact, your only problem with the bag could be that you weigh the bag down with too much gear.

We love the material of the bag. The material is 500D Cordura Nylon, but it is softer and more flexible than the more rigid canvas-like material of some other bags and backpacks. The substantial zipper pulls are large enough to be handled by gloves, and the quality zipper opens easily for quick access to gear.

The S.O. Tech Mission Go Bag has a number of other features that add to the versatility. A rubber-type panel on the back can prevent slipping when set on sloping vehicle hoods etc. Two Velcro attachments on the front can accommodate patches and insignia. There are also Velcro attachments in the front pocket to secure gear. Two lines of PALS webbing across the front can accommodate a number of other accessories.

We have the Coyote Brown version (photos below), which is actually more of an olive color. Our bag is loaded down with ammo and other quick reaction gear. If something major goes down we will have ready access to the gear we would need for an extended situation. Shown below is our configuration, with some of the gear we use with the bag including magazine holders for our Beretta 92FS, a knife, and AR-15 magazines in the inside pockets.

Overall, the S.O. Tech Mission Go Bag will be one of your most essential tactical gear items. The essentially-designed bag is suited for a variety of purposes and is superbly crafted. The bag is an indispensable issue item for U.S. Special Forces and it should be an essential item in your tactical gear inventory as well.
